What is roleplaying? Assuming a character's identity and portraying their actions, thoughts, and emotions
What is meta-gaming? Using knowledge or information outside of the in-game context to gain an advantage in a game
What is power-gaming / god-modding? In an RP sense Power-Gaming would be taking control of a particular roleplay scenario and making decisions for other players taking their agency away. For example *I punch kyle and he blacks out dropping all his pokeballs*
What is retroactive continuity? (retcon): Altering or revising previously established events or facts within a universe
What is the difference between in-character (IC) and out-of-character (OOC)? Out of character is you, yourself. In character is when you are roleplaying and acting as someone else.
Do you have previous experience playing on a RP server? Here in the past.
-General Character Questions-
Full name: Faust Hart
Age: (min 18+) 35 years old
Appearance: Faust is a sturdy figure, of a slightly above average height with a robust build that speaks of a life spent in the wilderness. His wavy brown hair, falling down just above his shoulders, giving him a slightly untamed appearance.
A distinctive feature that catches the eye is his well-groomed curly mustache, which seems to have a life of its own. His keen green eyes, reminiscent of the lush foliage in a dense forest, reflect a deep connection to the natural world.
In terms of clothing, Faust opts for simplicity and practicality. He wears a classic white T-shirt, its fabric slightly weathered from countless adventures. The shirt is often left unbuttoned, Suspenders, secure his sturdy cargo pants that are both functional and comfortable. On his feet, he dons durable hiking boots, battered and worn from traversing diverse terrains. Overall Faust's appearance exudes a sense of readiness for the next adventure, with a trusty backpack slung over one shoulder, its pockets filled with Poké Balls, a map, and a variety of Berries.
Personality: Faust truly has the spirit of the wild in his heart, often carefree and going with the flow. Faust's carefree spirit is mirrored in his approach to training Pokémon. Rather than a battle for dominance, he prefers to engage in joyful and cooperative activities with his pokemon and the wild ones around him. Preferring to spend time outdoors, Faust is often seen camping, moving his tent around the viridian forest
However, Faust is quite passionate about the nature around him and the pokemon who live there and can be quite stern when it comes to this. He protects nature and the wild pokemon that live there, He actively opposes those who seek to exploit the wild Pokémon or disturb the delicate balance of nature. Faust's camping excursions serve a dual purpose – not only do they allow him to spend time in the outdoors, but they also serve as a place to watch against potential threats to the forest around him.
Biography: Faust's and his father moved to Viridian when he was very young, Mr Hart was a Bug type pokemon specialist. Growing up an only child with a father who spent most of his time in the forest with pokemon, it didnt take long for Faust to do the same. They had a small home on the outskirts of Viridian but once Faust was old enough he started camping out in the forest, spending nights alone, Getting to know the wild pokemon in the area. He never truely had the urge to capture any as they were all his friends, specifically a family of Oddish that lived behind their house. As he got older he found himself wanting to spend less time indoor, and eventually less time in town. Selling his family home he downsized as much as possible, purchased a quality tent and gear and started his new life outdoors.
Flash forward to the last few months
One evening while Faust was out in the forest, a small fire started on one of the neighborhoods in the city eventually catching a small section of the forest on fire, unfortunately that section of forest contained all of his equipment and tent. However the tent meant nothing compared he once vibrant greenery was now engulfed in an inferno, endangering the Pokémon that called the forest home. Faust, with a heavy heart, realized he had to act swiftly. Faust and many people of the Viridian and Pewter city spent the night tirelessly guiding Pokémon to safety, and fighting fires.
In the aftermath, with the flames extinguished a small chunk of the Viridian Forest reduced to charred remnants but thankfully mostly intact. Although Faust's home was gone, his spirit remained unbroken, and he realized that the true essence of his journey wasn't in material possessions but in the bonds he forged and the lives he touched.
Unsure of what to do next, Faust started to stagnate. The beard growing longer mustache losing its curl. Until one day he caught wind of a place called Toro, specifically the Pokemon Rangers. A new start, outdoors, helping pokemon. This was it, this was what he would do.
Flaws: Faust can be carefree to a fault, almost to the point of coming off as lazy in many cases. Will sacrifice his well being to save pokemon.
Ambitions: Exploring a new wilderness and eventually finding a new Tent or place to camp in the outdoors

You find yourself standing in a bustling town. Suddenly, a small girl runs up to you, her eyes seeming to glisten with fresh tears as her bottom lip quivers. “Please!” She cries out to you, “You must help me! My poor Meowth is stuck in a tree!” She points to a nearby tree as more tears spill out of her eyes and down her cheeks. How does your character respond?
Faust lets out a chuckle, Not because it's funny but more to reassure the girl that everything will be okay. He bends down to get closer to the girl's level. “Of course little one, Please show me where let me where the Meowth is”
Following the girl to the tree Faust can't help be a little happy, Big cities aren't really his thing and he's felt out a place for a little while but this this is something he can help with. There's already a small crowd huddled around the tree calling to the Meowth.
“Please everybody step aside, This shouldn't be too difficult to climb.” Making the jump to the first branch Faust pulls himself into the tree with ease. Moving branch to Branch until he's close enough to the meow to reach to it. He digs around in his pocket pulling out of Berry.
“Hey there my little feline friend why don't you take this” Offering the berry to the meowth, he scoops it up. Quickly climbing down from the tree.
You are walking along the road when your eyes lock onto a trainer's in the distance. At that moment, you both freeze in place. You see a glimmer in the trainer's eyes as he reaches for his Pokeball. "Go, Rattata! Show this chump what we've been training for!" the trainer shouts as he swiftly releases his chosen partner in the vacant space that separates the two of you. How does your character respond?
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! I can see you're eager to fight," Faust exclaims, holding both hands in the air. However, he quickly adds, "We're pretty far from a Pokecenter, and I would hate for any of our Pokémon to be injured."
Not a fan of fighting, Faust looks around at the forest and trees surrounding them, contemplating how to challenge the opposing trainer without engaging in a battle.
"I have a much better idea for us to challenge our Pokémon! Let's have them race!" Faust suggests, gesturing from tree to tree and to the fence down the road. "Rattata is fast, but you'll be surprised how fast my Oddish can be! The first Pokémon to reach the fence and loop both trees wins?" The opposing trainer seems uncertain but isn't ready to back down from the challenge. The two Pokémon line up, and the race begins!
After a while, we see the trainer and Faust enjoying a cool drink as the Pokémon rest in the shade. Faust reflects, "See, we don't always have to fight to show how good of a trainer we are!"

I'll also let you know, since it's easy to miss but! We do level the playing field a little bit and provide Max IVs / near Max IVs for Hidden Powers - though people still need to breed if they want specific stats ( like 0 atk ) and for the rest :3 ! There's a NPC to do that in our Battle Tower!
