This is just a small moment between my pokemon and i, as this isnt really something i can rp with other people involved. Enjoy the short read :3
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The thick, humid air of the swamp washed over En, giving him a strange feel of being home. He'd been spending so much time patrolling the swamp near Ferrite that he wasn't bothered by the smell anymore, instead feeling like it gave him a sense of belonging.
The same couldn't be said for the two bugs on his shoulders. Both were tiny, almost malnourished, though they were perfectly healthy. Their hatching had been difficult and only succeeded due to a lucky idea En had, putting both Eggs through a trading machine. From them, an Escavalier and an Accelgor had emerged, already evolved and, luckily, in good health. Something about the process made them rather small, though after seen their power in preliminary battle, En wasn't worried about their ability to fight in the wild.
His goal had been to bring these two pokemon back to the swamp where he originally found the abandoned eggs. From the way to Ferrite from the daycare, where Mathias had helped in the hatching progress, the two bugs had been getting to know each other and the Ranger, being instantly bonded to one another. From atop En's shoulder the Escavalier, which En had temporarily given the name "Lance", constantly tapped the Accelgor, whose name was temporarily nicknamed "Cloth", onto its head, which it seemed to rather enjoy. In return the Scarf-like bandages around Cloth wrapped around the Spear-tips of Lance's arms as it purred happily.
En was glad they got along, as they were both still new to the world and would nee companionship to survive in the harsh swamp. It almost saddened him to let them go, but it was his duty as a Ranger to preserve the wildlife, not capture it.
Not that they seemed to want to survive. Both pokemon actively huddled against En once a gust of wind blew the smell of decaying plant mater over them. The Ranger chuckled a bit, though the pokemon didn't find it nearly as funny and glared daggers at him. Still, they seemed to get used to it pretty quickly, hopping off of En's shoulders and shuffling around to explore the strange, wet soil beneath them.
Feeling his work done, En turned around to leave back to Ferrite. The chingling on his head protested a bit, still wanting to follow his order of "watching over the eggs", but using his simplistic sign language, En explained to his partner that her job was done and she could go back to napping, which the small bell pokemon gladly did. But this also distracted En enough to not realize the two bugs were back on his shoulders, almost as if they'd never left. With the weight having become so familiar, he failed to notice this until he closed the door to his newly furnished house and took of his uniform. Slightly shocked, he jumped a bit, which threw of Cloth and Lance, as well as waking up the Chingling. All of them snarled angrily, but still playfully, then the bugs went to explore the room and the chingling went back to sleep as if nothing had happened.
After a few moments had gone, En fully realized the situation and cursed at himself, shuffling to pick up the pokemon. Strangely enough, they immediately followed his orders to come over to him, tilting their heads slightly as if waiting for a reason why they were called. After picking them up again and setting them on his shoulders, En once again stepped out the door to head over to the swamp. This pattern repeated about 3 times before En gave up. The bugs now knew where his house was, and they kept coming back.
He decided to simply sleep, and look into how to fix this issue tomorrow.

After waking up and going through his usual routine, the bugs were nowhere to be seen. At first En thought they had gone back to the swamp, where they naturally belonged, however he then heard the sounds of metal clashing in the basement, where he had set up a small Dojo to train with his Gallade. Upon checking out the noise, he saw Cloth and Lance sparring with one another, showing of a good amount of skill, but also restraint, as neither ever got hit. Once they noticed him come down, they both stopped and shuffled up, purring at his legs and asking to be picked up.
En did as they wanted, and went to have breakfast, while thinking of a way to asses what should come next. A gym challenge, that would test these two pokemon. They obviously wanted to stay with En, and if the had what it took to beat the next gym on En's list, he would entrust himself to them, making sure they would train for the hardships of being a Ranger's partner.
That thought in his head, En planned his trip to Viridis.
