RP Name: Rose Lilium / Keiji Lilium Ishinn MC Name: courteney14 Age: 18 Number of hours available: Almost always on skype (excluding sleep hours) Timezone: GMT
Are you in any logistics position in game?
Rose is a Mayor of Tyrian and also a high positioned Ranger
Why do you want to join the coordination staff?
Due to being within a different time zone to majority of the players, I feel as though being apart of the ET-C could allow me to create and host events within that time zone for the players that commonly cannot attend the main bulk. This is because some may feel, to some extent, excluded as they cannot attend ‘story’ events.
I also want to help do more with the server to allow people to experience the fun and be happy on the server as I have been during the year and a half I have been apart of the community.
What is one weakness in yourself that might hinder your ability to work on this team?
Speaking my mind when I feel like it will make people feel upset or attacked.
To elaborate, if I feel like something isn’t how I would likeit to be, I sometimes feel that speaking up about it would create negative emotions for the other people who are involved. As such, I prefer to keep quiet and just allow it to happen due to not liking people being upset because of me, however this can cause me to become rather conflicted in private.
Another weakness, if it can be called that, is my time zone. Due to being apart of GMT (5-6 hours ahead of EST) it means that when the usual events are hosted, I am usually getting off of my computer, meaning that I cannot participate. Though this may alter for better (or worse) when Uni comes about.
Tell me about any experience you have in the following: story writing, skin creating, redstone, plugins, and default minecraft commands and functions, Event Acting/Building/Planning.
Story writing: I’ve been writing stories for a long period of my life. Two that I submitted to a University secured me an unconditional offer. Skin creating: Make all my own skins and have helped other people with skins also. Shading is something that I need to work on though. Redstone: I know basic things and can look up anything else that is needed and put it in a single player to copy and try alter to specific things. Plugins: I am a fast learner with most plugins. I have used worldedit many times on private servers and on a larger public servers. I have made lore items on a large public server also. DMC: Time, Weather, TP’ing, Gamemode, Give.. I am comfortable saying that I know quite a fair amount of the default commands. Event Acting/Building/Planning: I can do acting and planning, those are both fairly simple and easy for me to do. However, building.. I can do interior design with ease so long as there is a design in mind, and can mimic builds that have been done prior. However, I cannot do builds from scratch confidently unless I have guidelines and other people assisting me.
Now, create an event and write at least a one paragraph summary. Then, complete the following questions:
With Winter now fast approaching, Articuno is once again getting ready to leave its nest with their children so that they could see the ever changing region of Toro. However, as the waters begin to freeze over, and the snow begins to fall and set on the ground, some of the younger and more curious Cryogonal begin to move also. They are interested in what lies outside of their home and where the Articuno’s are going and seeing.
With a large herd of Cryogonal having travelled to the main island, they arrive full of excitement, more specifically, arriving around the snowy mountain that rests above the Little Pines Campground which is commonly known to hold the rangers base. A new form of chaos strikes which gives people a reason to play in the snow, though perhaps not for a pleasant reason. From the bustle of Cryogonal and their playful fighting with one another, an avalanche has been caused striking below where they were playing, nearly burying four buildings and ending as the rangers base begins. (1)
With and people and Pixelmon alike trapped within some of the buried buildings and no form of exit available to them, it is announced by some rangers (who were heading to the base for an upcoming meeting) over the radio stations that help is required to try and remove the mini avalanche that has occurred, without killing the curious Cryogonal herd (and without setting Little Pines on fire) to help everyone trapped get out to safety, hopefully with minimal to no injuries. People are also reminded to wrap up warm due to it being a cold task that needs to be done.
Upon the arrival from those willing to help, they take the sky tram up with caution along with an available Ranger who had been waiting. They reach the top to meet the other rangers before being told of the situation in more detail.
The trapped people and Pixelmon are using what they can to stay warm, and there seems to be one building empty. The other three hold at least one person each, their Pixelmon, and some gentle and friendly wild Pixelmon which ran into building out of fear of being buried. The cold is slowly seeping into the buildings, making it more urgent to help get everyone out.
The snow has to be cleared away with the use of players Pixelmon and with shovels for the less buried areas. Cleared snow will be melted by some of the fire type Pixelmon and any others that are able to get rid of it.
Once the snow is cleared away from a building, the trapped person and the Pixelmon exit, expressing much gratitude and the wild Pixelmon flee to find their friends and families. After all of the snow has been cleared away, a kind woman who works on the Little Pines Campgrounds offers everyone who helped a mug of freshly made hot cocoa and a biscuit as a means of thanking everyone for the help, inviting them into a building to sit.
This allows players to rp freely afterwards with other participants of the event within the area of the Little Pines Campground once the event had concluded.
Summary:
Winter is coming and as a result of some young and curious Cryogonal who traveled to the main island of Toro, an avalanche has occurred. A call for aid is put out over the radio stations, and the situation is explained before everyone gets to work trying to free the trapped people and Pixelmon from partially buried buildings. Once completed, everyone will be thanked and will be given hot cocoa and a biscuit (possibly have the biscuits lored as a little momentum).
(1)Describe any effects or props that would be needed and how to implement them.
- Morning to noon time of day, possibly snow
- Adding snow which can easily be done with worldedit and then landscaped by hand
- POSSIBLY: biscuit lore item for people to keep as a momentum
(2) Write a basic outline for a character to be used in an event. Essentially, an actor should be able to read it and become the character you want them too.
The woman is a very warm hearted selfless woman who is thankful to anyone and everyone who helps someone in some way or another. She is always helping people and Pixelmon herself, whether it be by giving them things to keep them warm, helping them with injuries, or playing with them when they are lonely. She never asks for anything in return for helping, and only asks for help with doing something if it is needed.
(3) Create and attach a skin of a character within the event.
(4) Create a list of ten emotes to be used in the event or create a poster that could be published via the Forums that would get players interested in the event.
1. A soft rumble is heard throughout Aurelia from above, where the Little Pines Campground is located
2. The usual radio broadcast is suddenly cut off and replaced with a voice that tries to maintain a calm and collected demeanor, but the worry is evident
3. The sky tram seems to start in a more unstable manner than usual, causing a few people to lose balance and wobble as it begins its ascending.
4. [Ranger’s name] turns to face the group, arms behind their back and a determined expression on their face. “This is important and needs to be done quickly and carefully.”
5. Resting on a bench are some neatly folded scarfs, gloves resting on top and coats hanging above each one. All of them seem to be free for the taking to keep you warm during the mission.
6. A large Charizard, and Quilava are hard at work melting down the piling snow with flamethrower, making sure to be careful to not set anything on fire.
7. A small boy runs out of the building wrapped in a blanket and hugging his Aipom, tears are evident in his eyes and they seem ready to spill out, as he speaks, his voice is soft and shaken.
8. A Teddiursa waddles out of the building, paw to its mouth. Looking around, it quickly moves towards the treeline where another was waiting in worry before they hug and move away.
9. As the last building is freed from the icy clutches of the snow, a woman emerges with a thankful smile on her bright face.
10. The soft wisps of steam twist up from the fresh, hot cup of cocoa. The cocoa itself is slowly spinning in the cup, small chunks of marshmallow dancing about within it. You have earnt this.

This looks good! Given that, The next step is an interview, which I'll be coordinating with you relatively soon. I assure you it is not a scary interview. As we've discussed, you may end up being an ET-A but the applications demonstrate similar skills anyway, so there is little need to make you write another one. In the meantime anyway, have fun on the server!
