Toro Battling: Adamas Dojo

Post: # 16656Post KingJhin87 »

Adamas Dojo
Adamas Dojo, located in the Sakura District of Adamas, is a player-run facility that has six Masters that you can challenge for their title. The niche however is that you must use Pokemon matching the level of the position you’re aiming for. more unique competitive experience.

The purpose of the Dojo is to break down the mentality of "I have to grind my Pokemon to level 100 immediately or they will never be useful". Battling should be fun, and possibly competitive, but never bitter- nor should you feel forced to be the best trainer to battle.
Dojo Battles
You can find who to contact for a battle in the Current Dojo Masters thread!

Rules
  • 1. When a challenger faces a Dojo Master, both parties are required to use teams of Pokemon that match that Title’s level. You may not scale down or up using battle rules. Ex: The Level 40 Master must use a team of level 40 Pokemon, and the challenger must use a team of level 40 Pokemon too. All pokemon for this must also be legal (Ex: No level 10 Dragonites at the Level 10 Master)

    2. These battles are usually 6v6, but you or the Dojo master can use as little or as many pokemon as you wish, and Dojo Masters cannot demand their challengers to fight with special rules.

    3. All items are allowed except for hp and status healing items such as Potions, Full Heals, Antidotes, or Revival items.

    4. New Masters are allowed to decline matches and battle freely and without giving up their title for their first OOC week only. After this, Masters must accept challenges and their title is permanently on the line.

    5. After 1 OOC month of inactivity, GMs may take the title from a Master and give it to an NPC until someone claims it, or until a tournament is announced to crown a new master. If a GM is warned in advance when a Master will be absent from the server for a time they will be understanding.

    6. If a challenger loses, the Master can choose to deny a rematch for up to 1 OOC week, after which they must accept a rematch at both parties’ convenience. However, this rule is to help reduce the stress of a Master being challenged every day over and over again; if the Master wants they may also choose to accept a rematch immediately.

    7. A Player cannot hold more then 1 Dojo Master position at a time. Inorder for a Dojo Master to challenge for a different level Master position, they will need to relinquish their current Master spot or lose their current Master spot before doing so
Rewards
Master’s Badge
Whenever you defeat a Master they will give you their badge. This comes with some perks- the most notable perk of having this is access to the Master’s Lounge.

In addition, it will allow your character to be reimbursed for pix spent at partnered businesses. To avoid abuse and encourage RP- this covers 1,500pix worth per season, and it requires that you spend the pix and show your badge during a roleplay. Listed are the businesses partnered with the Adamas Dojo:
  • • Mantine Funtime Parktime [Cobalt]
    • Entertainment Center 720 [Cobalt]
    • The Persian’s Purr [Carmine]
    • The Tipsy Mushroom [Carmine]
If you own a business and wish to partner with the Adamas Dojo, or if you spent pix in a roleplay and wish for it to be reimbursed, contact Misha.

First Time Rewards
When someone becomes a Master for the first time, they will receive the listed items.
  • • 10,000 Pix
    • Two TMs/TRs of their choice.
    • A gold-plated Pokeball
A staff member will provide this, not the Master they beat.
The money, TMs, and pokeball are not renewed when a former Master becomes a Master once again

The Master’s Lounge.
When you hold one of the Master's Badges, you have access to the lounge. This comfy lounge comes complete with an enclosed garden area that provides some one of the best Pokemon training experiences in Toro. This means having Level 80-100 Blisseys, as well as easy grinding opportunities for all EVs. Along with this, there is a sign inside that give the Reigning dojo masters 75 BP, once a week they can claim!

Rules
  • 1. The only people that have access to the lounge are current Masters possessing Master's Badges. Masters cannot bring in friends or relatives, if they do so both parties will face punishment.

    2. When they lose their badge, Masters will no longer be allowed into the lounge. If they want access again, they must become a Master again.

    3. If you are not a Master and are caught in the Masters lounge for any reason without consulting the GMs first (this includes "just looking around.") you will be punished. There is not a warning system for this as there are signs outside of the door.
