Tell us a little about yourself: Im skitcha but I like to be called Skit! Ive gone to college for Theatre so hopefully I can be relatively decent at roleplay. Im an avid roleplay, and pokemon fan so this server seems like it suits me very well and im excited to see what all there is!

What is roleplaying? To place a character into the world and act as said character.

What is meta-gaming? using outside knowledge that you know but your character doesn't, within rp as if your character DOES know it.

What is power-gaming / god-modding? acting as if your character doesn't have a downfall, they are constantly in the lead/in control of a situation or something. i.e never getting hit, never missing a hit

What is retroactive continuity? (retcon): the alteration or completely getting rid of something that was done previously, either because something was done that absolutely wasn't supposed to be done, or does not fit the story at all. This can be seen for an example: Someone changing something about their character/the situation which has previously been approved AFTER the fact and claiming that it was already approved so its okay.

What is the difference between in-character (IC) and out-of-character (OOC)? IC is when you are in character, within roleplay and acting out as that character. OOC or out of character is when you are talking out of roleplay, and you are speaking as yourself and not one of/your character.

Do you have previous experience playing on a RP server? Yes! I used to roleplay on a server called Fables and Fantasy, I even got accepted into a staff position for a lore maker, but soon left because the drama in the community was too much to handle ^^;

Full name: Starvel "Vel" Haninbar
Age: 20
Appearance: Soft messy light red hair, with light purple eyes. Vel is dressed in a white sweatshirt and mahogany colored pants. He stands around 5'7" and has a rather lanky build. He isn't very fit, and doesn't like any manual labor. His face has dusted freckles that he attempts to hide constantly, and he has a beauty mark underneath his right eye. He has a few scars on his chin, eyebrow, and hands from trying to befriend a growlithe.
Personality: Hes very closed off, and standoff-ish. But he really does enjoy making friends. He typically sits around in forests, trying to find cool pokemon or any injured Pokémon to care for, but if he cant find any then he just wonders off. Hes not really big on fighting the gyms, but being forced to go out into the world and open up has put him on edge on making any friends.
Biography: As a little kid, hes always had an affinity for Pokémon, his dad got him a growlithe when he became 18, but he wasn't allowed to train said Growlithe unless he went out and battled gyms. He didn't want to at the time, until he became 20, he thought about it more and more, and the idea grew on him more and more. So he did, he packed up, left home and started off on his pokemon journey. Now hes a little brain fried, and a little lost. But hes managing! He comes from the Sinnoh region, used to he resided in Snowpoint City.
Flaws: He has nervous habits, such as biting his finger when he gets stressed or hiding his face when things get overwhelming. He doesn't like being around huge crowds of people, and huge Pokémon scare him.
Ambitions: He wants to eventually fight and beat all of the gyms even if he doesnt show it.

You find yourself standing in a bustling town. Suddenly, a small girl runs up to you, her eyes seeming to glisten with fresh tears as her bottom lip quivers. “Please!” She cries out to you, “You must help me! My poor Meowth is stuck in a tree!” She points to a nearby tree as more tears spill out of her eyes and down her cheeks. How does your character respond?

- Gripping the edge of his sweatshirt sleeves, basking at all of the people in the crowd of the city streets, he feels a pull, looking over to the girl now in front of him.. and crying? Before he could even get out a word, the girl starts speaking to him. Listening in on what she has to say, he nods without thinking. Letting the girl drag him away and to the tree, he looks up at the meowth sitting upon a branch and he gives a relieved sigh. "They will be okay" He states before trying to get his body up the tree, grabbing branches where he can, and pulling himself up. Eventually he reaches the top and grabs the meowth, tucking it into his shirt, and holding on as he climbs down the tree. "here you go" he speaks softly handing off the meowth to the little girl.


After arriving in Toro a cheerful woman walks up to you, a clipboard in her hand. “Hello and welcome to Toro! I would like to ask where you came from and why you came, as well as where you plan to go. All for for statistical reasons of course.” she asked with a bright smile as she held a pen to her clipboard. How does your character respond?

- Looking over at her, and looming over the questions he was being asked all of a sudden, he slowly backs away from the girl. "uhm. no." he states simply, before lightly bowing his head and turning around. From there he quickly walks away from the woman, scanning for an area to hide away from her. He did not like being asked questions so suddenly, and did not want to be conducted into an interview first thing here.


You are walking along the road when your eyes lock onto a trainer's in the distance. At that moment, you both freeze in place. You see a glimmer in the trainer's eyes as he reaches for his Pixelball. "Go, Rattata! Show this chump what we've been training for!" the trainer shouts as he swiftly releases his chosen partner in the vacant space that separates the two of you. How does your character respond?
