Spring 21 1137

I arrived at the beach partway through the cleanup operation there, and as we were looking around, we found a net. As we went to move it, we found there to be a Manaphy inside. I started to move the net with some others to free the Manaphy, finding the net to be rather heavy. Regardless, we were still able to free it from the net, where it was fed berries by someone else helping with clean up. While freeing it I saw the Manaphy had a collar of some sort and a lure shaped like a Phione.
I soon after went to call the RTMP and the other Rangers. Matthias arrived first, with a Manaphy of his own, and his Manaphy went to play with the other one. I explained about what happened to him, and showed him the net. Lonnie Tide and Police Commissar Caleb Tanner soon arrived, as well, and I explained the situation to them too. I was told that the net is one designed to capture certain sized fish, and is not one that should be catching pokémon at all. That, combined with the Phione lure and the time being close to Manaphy mating season, puts it at a possibility of poacher activity.
Head Ranger Rina arrived soon too, and I also explained to her on what happened as well, as her Phione went to play with the Manaphys.
Caleb went to gather the net as evidence, and asked that we could hand over the Phione lure if the Manaphy was to lose interest in it, and get a photo of the collar.

[ Supplementary Report - Cobalt Beach Cleanup ]
This report is being written as a supplementary report to Senior Ranger Annemarie's report on the Manaphy discovered on the beach.

I arrived at the beach alongside Ranger Ryla, Jr. Ranger Connor, and Jr. Ranger Anne. We took stock of the situation alongside a civilian with a pink Mudkip, finding the beach covered in trash, debris, and Pokemon in need of assistance. We were joined by another civilian at this time. We first set about rescuing a Kantonese Exeggcutor that was buried in the sands via a group effort of digging it out by hand before making the final push with help from the civilian's Mudkip and Connor's Ditto doing the final digging, and the civilian's Throh lifting the Exeggcutor out of the hole. At this time Jr. Ranger Anne did an excellent job of removing garbage stuck on a Corsola with assistance from a civilian. Meanwhile, Ranger Allister arrived on the scene, and he and Jr. ranger Connor picked up the fallen volleyball net in an excellent display of teamwork. While the others were busy Ryla and I coaxed a Pallosand out of a glass soda bottle, in which it had gotten itself stuck.

It was about this time that Senior Ranger Annemarie arrived. She and Ryla headed over to investigate a beached bit of fishing netting, and discovered Manaphy within. From here events are recorded within Senior Ranger Annemarie's report.

[ Campsite Poltergeist Investigation ]

I met up with Senior Ranger Annemarie and Field Ranger Red at Ranger HQ to prepare to hike to the campsite reported to be haunted. After preparations the three of us made our way to the site, hiking about an hour in the darkness. Upon arrival we immediately encountered a malfunctioning radio, playing two songs at once. A purple light appeared, forming a grid in the area (presumed to be Trick Room or some similar move). The radio was thrown against a nearby tree, breaking it and revealing two Rotom to have been inhabiting it. The Rotom accepted a berry as a peace offering, recharging our flashlights before leaving the area.

Shortly after the Rotom left we saw the same purple light within a nearby cabin, accompanied by the sound of shattering porcelain. We approached the house cautiously, entering after the purple light disappeared. Within the cabin was a Polteageist, clearly distraught over some smashed cups. After cleaning up the shards, Annemarie noticed the Polteageist pointing to a teacup on a shelf. After we procured the cup and set it on one of four saucers the Poltegeist indicated there were more missing cups. Annemarie, Red, and myself spread out amongst the cabin, locating the cups in short order and bringing them to the table. Once all cups were present, Polteageist poured tea into each, giving life to four new Sinistea. At this time we spotted a Mismagius outside the cabin. Ranger Red offered to stay with the Polteageist and the Sinistea to ensure they weren't alone while Annemarie and I followed after Mismagius.

Mismagius floated about the camp, showing us various visions of past events with a boy it befriended via the strange purple grid, further evidence that said effect was Trick Room in use. The final vision revealed the boy, now older, leaving Mismagius behind. Whether the boy abandoned the Mismagius or was otherwise separated from it is unclear, but the Mismagius became incredibly distressed after showing the final vision. Under duress, the Mismagius began to lose control of its psychic abilities due to intense emotion. I released my Meganium, Sakura, utilizing her soothing scent to attempt to calm the Mismagius, as well as to defend myself should it attack. Unfortunately the sight of another Pokemon caused Mismagius to lose all control, and it released a Magical Leaf attack. Sakura defended me with Protect, but Annemarie had yet to release a Pokemon. Thankfully her quick reflexes allowed her to call upon her Leafeon to take the brunt of the attack.

Upon a second Pokemon taking the field Mismagius enraged, attacking the two Pokemon with Confusion. I had Meganium set up a Light Screen to mitigate any further damage from Mismagius before stepping forward to attempt to calm the distressed Pokemon. Annemarie watched my back, prepared to take action should the Mismagius attack again. Mismagius collapsed to the ground sobbing, overcome with emotion. I attempted to get through to the ghost-type, continuing to talk to it, trying to ground it and help it regain control of its emotions. It was at this point Mismagius fired a Shadow Ball, not at any of us or our Pokemon, but at itself. Alarmed, I closed the distance to try and hug the ghost and prevent it from doing so again while Annemarie swapped Pokemon to prepare to put the ghost to sleep if need-be.

While admittedly rushing up to hug the ghost and attempt to defend it from its own attacks was dangerous, I had no time to switch Sakura for a partner better suited for handling the situation. Any time wasted might have given Mismagius time to hit itself with another Shadow Ball, and I acted before I could think. The boy from the visions had hugged Mismagius, so I hoped doing so might finally get through to it. I would not have made such a decision should Annemarie have not been there to watch my back.

The Mismagius had been preparing another Shadow Ball as I embraced it, thankfully letting the move fizzle. Physical contact seemed to shock it back to its senses as I’d hoped. It returned the hug and began to cry. I comforted the ghost for a time before offering a Great Ball and asking if it would come with us to the PRRC so we could help it. After a bit of coaxing, Mismagius agreed, allowing me to capture it. Annemarie offered to take it to the PRRC, so I handed her the ball and returned to base.

Having promised Mismagius the capture would be a temporary situation so we could get it the help it needed, I ask that it be released to the wild after receiving care. Should a wild release not be possible after rehabilitation, I humbly request that it be entrusted in my care so it doesn’t feel as if it was abandoned again.

Summer 26th, Year 1137.

- Escort to the Golist Islands.
Senior Ranger Uriel Valle accompanied us, as did PRRC employee and researcher Félix Desroches, while I ensured their safety throughout the expedition. We docked on the west side of the island in the morning. Fourworld Cavern was just a few kilometers' walk from our arrival point, and we reached the Pixco facility just in front of the entrance to a long tunnel. After a quick bit of organization outside, we began our descent with the utmost care, helmeted all the way to the bottom of the cavern.

The spectacle that had just appeared before our eyes was worthy of a wonder of the world. Immense stalactites and stalagmites of various colors (blue, green, yellow, orange) with crystalline and luminescent properties lit up the entire Fourworld cavern. The environment was made up of four different sections, where four fossils had originally been found. That's what people thought, but in reality, there were eight species in all. Miss Uriel showed us two revived specimens, an Arctozolt and a Dracozolt. The upper half of their bodies were more or less identical, with a few details that allow us to establish diets. But the rest of the body was not at all identical, which can be explained by their different habitats and hunting habits. Against all my expectations, the Arctozolt was rather friendly and sociable.

While Mr. Félix was taking samples under Pixco's supervision, he was able to observe the presence of a new fossil which, according to Mrs. Uriel, had not been there before and appeared while we were there. A strange phenomenon that leads Mr. Félix to think that the creation of other fossils could be happening.

To conclude this report, the expedition went off without a hitch and there were no particular problems.

Autumn, 4 1137

I, and Medics Allister and JL responded to a call of two Crustle fighting at the Adamas town square at precisely 2:58. They seem to have been in battle before we had shown up, with minor craters and rocks littering the area. Being in a city, civillians were present. Namely, Connor Ashwood, Momoka Tanner, Isaac DeVoir and Ryder Astor and Wren Dearea who showed up later on. After giving orders to my rangers, we were able to identify a wild Snivy stuck in the crossfire. Me and Ocha kept using Spore and Wide Guard to slow down the Crustles, while protecting the area so JL could help the Snivy and get it to a safer position.

During this, Ryder Astor attempted to grab a Crustle and suplex it. Which worked to minimal effect. But right after this Wren, one of the locals had showed up to the scene with their Aegislash. The crustle were not happy with our presence and Ocha and Allister's Wide Guards protected many of us from their attacks all at once, but Ryder ended up getting striked on the back by a Rock Slide before Allister was able to pull him out of there.
Afterwards, Wren's Aegislash slipped between the two fighting Crustle, giving the rangers some breathing room to get away with the Snivy and continue sporing them. The Aegislash mangaged to take the blows while in it's shield form and I made an attempt to catch it with a Great Ball, which unfortunately failed to work. While Allister took care of Ryder's wounds, Ocha's efforts paid off and she was able to bring one of them down with a Spore.

We took advantage of the opening! Me and Ocha maneuvered to protect the civilians while JL approached from the side and caught it with a Heal Ball. With it's opponent gone, the other Crustle was overcome by fear with all the other Pokemon around. I ordered my rangers to stand down and leave it to run off, but Isaac DeVoir chased after it with his Breloom to capture it.

At the end of the day, Ryder only suffered minor injuries. The Snivy will be brought back to base to receive medical attention before being handed off to the PRRC. The Crustle will be released back into the wilderness, as it is capable of defending itself and reintegrating nicely.

I arrived in Adamas at the scene of the incident alongside the other rangers. After a brief moment to ensure we were all prepared, Senior Medic Allister led the approach up the docks to get a better view of the situation. A pack of rampaging Sharpedo had destroyed a boat moored at the pier, and were damaging the docks in the process. I volunteered to take point on the docks near the waterline to help distract the sharks, backed up by Senior Rangers Annemarie and Tommy, as well as Ranger Ryla. Head Ranger Rina arrived shortly after we began to combat the Sharpedo, joining in driving them off.

Through a concentrated team effort, we were able to drive off the Sharpedo. Rangers JL, Annemarie, and Tommy each caught a Sharpedo while the rest were driven off. Attempts were made to keep damage to a minimum, but the Sharpedo succeeded in destroying parts of the dock and damaging the nearby cliffside wall. Ranger Ryla and myself nearly ended up in the water, but thanks to quick reactions from the other rangers we were unharmed.

With the Sharpedo handled the concern shifted to the potential of people trapped on the sinking ship. Having volunteered to take point on the docks, and having a powerful aquatic ally in Primarina, I took up the role of checking the interior of the boat while the others kept curious Pokemon away and stood by for rescue should it be needed.

Upon diving into the water and entering the submerged part of the boat, I found below deck to be packed full of packaged Sharpedo fins. I collected a few and returned from the boat. Upon cutting a package open and confirming the contents the RTMP were called and informed of the poachers.

Autumn, 4 1137

- Additionnal Report on Snivy

This is a report to add to the one that Head Ranger Rina had written. Indeed, I've picked up information important enough to include in the report, and ignoring it could cause harm to Snivy.

The day two Crustle fought and created a disturbance in Adamas, I acted in concert with Head Ranger Rina and managed to approach the ailing Snivy while she covered me. After a quick examination and the administration of potions to the most serious wounds, I retreated and took refuge by moving the sizeable Snivy. One of the civilians, Wren Dearea, protected me from stray bullets from the Crustle while I tended to the Snivy's wounds. He was exhausted and had fallen asleep in my arms. I placed him in a Heal Ball so he could rest. I had already noticed tremors all over his body.

When I joined him in the treatment room at HQ, Snivy was so scared he wouldn't stop shaking. Getting close to him was difficult, and it took me a long time to get him to accept my presence. The slightest noise was enough to startle him. Snivy had suffered minor injuries, but what really worried me was his mental state. Really, that's something I don't like. I also tried an approach with Plume, my Sylveon, that of reading Snivy's emotions. I thought Sylveon was a good choice with his ribbons, but his presence only made things worse. The Snivy seemed terrified to the point of responding with desperate violence, lashing out with a vine.

I concluded that the Snivy was much more afraid of Pokémon than of me. Maybe it's because I saved him a little, during the Crustle commotion. Far be it from me to flatter myself, but there does seem to be some kind of contact or closeness between me and Snivy. Another important piece of information is that I noticed his tremors diminished when I gave him food, like Pokepuff or Berries. Some kind of stress reliever?

In conclusion, Snivy has undergone a major emotional shock that makes it very fearful of those around it. His fear increases drastically with Pokémon but clearly not so much with me. I haven't yet verified this theory with other people, but I'm convinced that Snivy has given me a micro-trust because I've come to his rescue. That's why I'm making this request: I'd really like to follow his progress when he's transferred to the PRRC. I'd say I've already done some work on Snivy's mental state but it's not enough. I'm volunteering with a view to better understanding Snivy and restoring his self-confidence.

Rental Report #1 - Year 1137 Day 3, Winter.

The egg entrusted to me hatched 3 days ago into a happy, healthy young koffing. Initially, they were not active until late last evening. It was at this time I also noted that the smell was beginning to develop. It was shortly after this time that I decided on the name “Egg”. Despite being only an infant, Egg appears to have great promise as a working pokemon and is extremely affectionate. Unfortunately, they are also quite timid and have a particularly unique odor.

While I allow time for Egg to better know the rest of my pokemon, I have begun to research methods of scent management. For the time being, I have elected to fill the living space with a variety of houseplants with the hope to begin more dedicated training in the coming weeks.

Winter 12, 1137
[HRP: Securing the Sneasel]

We arrived at Garnet Island early afternoon and checked in with the rangers and scientists whom have been living there to monitor and protect the Sneasel population as it grew. After a quick catch up they began to help us with setting up the medical tent as well as all the picnic tables for people to enjoy themselves at. Once the sandwhiches were prepared, me and my Breloom went off into the mountains to go find a Sneasler for demonstration.

With the help of my new Capture Styler, we were able to find a Sneasler whom I've affectionately named Pookie. It was rough for a moment, but we bonded quickly!
For the picnic itself, it went amazingly! Everyone seemed happy as can be. Pookie stayed on good behavior and all the kids loved her. The public were able to meet some of the sneasles, enjoy my sandwhiches and bring some home for themselves. At the end of the day, we waved goodbye to her and started taking down our little setup.

The Hisuian Restoration project is finally behind us. We can finally look up from the past and march forward into the future!

Spring 24, Year 1134 (Set in the past due to lack of time to write the report)

By reading this report, you'll understand the Rookidee's entire development from the day it was born to the day it becomes a trained Corviknight.
First month:
- Day one
From birth, the Rookidee doesn't yet have the natural colors of a mature Rowkidee. Like many bird species, their plumage is whitish to yellow for the normally blue body parts, and the darker parts are light gray, almost white.

The hatching process went perfectly, and the incubator I was given served its purpose perfectly. Now I'm going to use it as a temporary nest until the little one is able to walk and fly. Still with its essential functions, this device allows the Rookidee to drink, regulates the temperature and provides a cosy bed.

Feeding intervals are approximately every two hours. We recommend using a pipette to insert small quantities of seeds or crushed fruit, feeding slowly and ensuring that the Rookidee swallows properly and at its own pace. Once he's put on weight for a few more days, you can vary his diet with nectar, different fruits or berries, and bits of green leaves. After each meal, the Rookidee falls asleep for 15 to 30 minutes. But when he wakes up, he prefers to stay still, snug in his blanket.

- Day two

He has already doubled in size and weight. The Rookidee seems to be developing as expected and his appetite remains normal. I have no problem feeding him and he has already got used to the pipette.

I'm going to have to increase the doses of food slightly and change his blanket for reasons I won't go into. The aim is to replace the blanket that serves as the base of the incubator used as a nest with another clean, bacteria-free blanket. During the replacement, an Adamas resident kindly offered me a basket to put the little one in.

I noticed a small detail in the afternoon, when a flight of bird Pokémon passed over my house, the Rookidee let out a bird call. It was more of a high-pitched chirp, but at least it already had a voice.

-Day six

The Rookidee now sports the natural colors of a teenage specimen. It's almost the same size as a classic Rookidee, which is astonishing. I know that sometimes the size of Pokémon, like my Houndoom or my Noivern, can vary more than the average, so I guess that's a good sign. So I'm not afraid to think that the Rookidee's growth is nothing to worry about and that everything is going according to plan.

He has also started to sing and produce a series of sounds which are very pretty to hear but which become unbearable to the ear after several hours. Especially as his organ is already well developed, I'm wondering whether I shouldn't get some hearing protection.

-Day fifteen

The Rookidee is growing day by day, and it's now possible to space meals further and further apart. I'm also starting to let him out of the incubator to take a few steps and discover the world around him, even if he's currently limited to a table. To test and entertain him, I place small berries on the table, which he has to fetch as he walks. This helps him learn to move around, even if he can't fly. The first steps are difficult, of course, and I mustn't force the Rookidee to expend too much energy - he needs it to develop at a natural pace. But it's an exercise that seems to suit him.Now the Rookidee can swallow small berries without any problem. But I still have to cut the Oran Berries into 4/5 pieces.

-Day twenty-one

His whole body is now much more colorful than before. Belly to rump yellow, back, wings and face blue. A reassuring sign of good health. What's more, his pupils are red and his eyes are just as bright. It can easily follow the right-left movement of a pen before getting bored and grabbing it with its beak. I've also noticed that Rookidee has gained in strength and his beak, aided by neck muscles, can lift more and more things, always under my supervision.

I caught him trying to move his wings and shed feathers that were bothering him. His instinct seems to be to learn to fly. Alas, he doesn't seem to know how at the moment and, to avoid upsetting his natural rhythm, I can't help him.

The Rookidee has certainly grown up. No more pipettes for meals. His stomach is now able to digest more solid foods. He also seems to be interested in raw meat. Perhaps Ranger's kit includes protective gloves or finger guards. The Rookidee could mistake my fingers for worms, and the pecking in the palm is painful. Besides, this is my writing hand.

-Day twenty-three

All it took was 30 seconds of inattention on my part for something unusual to happen. The Rookidee was strolling across the table and, presumably, was intrigued by a Great Ball I'd put down for later storage. Without really understanding how or why, the Rookidee has captured himself. I still don't know if he knew what he was doing, or if it was an accident, or even if it was chance. I was puzzled for a long time.

So that's a good thing, I'd say, because I'll be able to take it with me on most of my trips to Adamas.

Second month:
-Day one

Having got into the habit of taking the Rookidee for walks with me, it followed me wherever I went, hopping along. Then, I think he'd had enough of walking, so he sprinted, flapped his wings and leapt up to try to fly away, but he didn't succeed until the fifth try. It's great, he's finally decided to learn to fly, and the best thing about it is that he did it all by himself. After that, he'll need a bit of practice, as he doesn't fly very straight yet, and only for a short time. I guess it's a bit like learning to swim: you can't do it in two seconds and without practice.

-Day two

This time, I decided to take Rookidee to Adamas beach. A good place for him to practice his wings and speed before take-off. Always under my watchful eye, he trained all day long, from morning until dusk, with frequent breaks.

And then, as the sun began to dip low in the sky, the Rookidee became enveloped in a blinding light that grew stronger and stronger. When the light disappeared, the Rookidee's appearance had changed to that of an evolving Corvisquire. I couldn't believe it - the Rookidee's training had finally paid off. Now he seemed able to stay airborne for much longer, and you could tell he was proud and happy. He often strikes a stylish pose, croaking and stretching his wings.

-Day three

I spent two and a half days training the Corvisquire to obey me. For example, one of his exercises, which also took place on the beach, was to come back to me when I held out my arm as he flew and glided. I understood that he reacted when I whistled or played a flute note. And I also learned that his talons were very powerful and each claw strong. Next time, I'll ask a master falconer and get a leather glove to protect my wrist from the Corvisquire's talons.

I would also add that his flight has improved. I mean, he's much more at ease with flexibility, speed and fluidity of movement. His precision has also improved. I must say that his new body is much better sculpted than before his evolution.

-Day eight

I asked a master falconer and learned a lot. Firstly, it's a step already taken, but it's essential to understand the different species of avian Pokémon. A Staravia will not have the same physical characteristics or natural behavior as a Pidgeotto, for example. A relationship and mutual trust are necessary if my Corvisquire is to become strong and powerful. So that he understands my orders and I understand his needs.

As I would expect, my trainer recommended equipment such as gloves and perches. But also bells for when I lose sight of my bird. After that, it's all about work and repeating exercises. Patience and positive words are crucial in this process.

For the moment, Corvisquire is training for free flight. In other words, I'm letting him progress at his own pace, giving him as much freedom as possible.

-Day ten

Today, I've added a new element: target hunting. The aim is simple: Corvisquire has to use his agility to hit fixed targets without bumping into them. This can be anything from wingtips to a quick peck to a lean and bounce with his talons.

I must say, he does it very well! I can hear him croaking and I can imagine he's having a lot of fun. To spice up the game - and also reward him - I drop colored berries from my Noivern as I fly even higher than Corvisquire. This little game tests his reflexes and alertness, and to top it all off, the treat rewards his efforts. Of course, there are rest periods not to be neglected.

I'm amazed at how fast he's progressing. My Corvisquire, I'm proud of him and happy to see how hard he's working. I'd have to come up with a nickname for him, but I'm not very good at it.

-Day twenty

We've spent the last ten days working on the same exercises, with the aim of refining and perfecting Chuca's skills (I ended up choosing this nickname after a lot of thought.). My skills also count for a lot, such as glove handling. We work on perch landings. It's important that Chuca knows how to anticipate and slow down his speed when he's about to land on the perch. This simple exercise requires good coordination of the wings and talons. Thigh and back muscles need to work together. Later, the perch will no longer be fixed, and space will be somewhat reduced.

Another higher-level exercise involves the use of a prey-like lure. Held with a sturdy string from my Noivern, it's a bit like playing with a Tauros with the red cloth. Me and my Noivern have to stay on the move at all times, dodging Chuca's assaults with tight timing. The decoy's movements improve Chuca's reflexes, so she can always keep her target in sight, even when dodging at the last moment. It also allows Chuca to use air currents to minimize his efforts. From time to time, I drop the lure, which falls in free fall and Chuca has to dive for it. For the Ranger job, I imagine it's not enough to catch a falling object. Chuca also has to bring it back to the trainer, i.e. me.

-Day twenty-six

Not much more to say, except that we're gradually increasing the altitude of the exercises. The Adamas cliffs are very useful as they are full of small cavities in which Chuca can land. It was another very practical and interesting exercise. Carrying an object, such as a potion or tool, with its talons or in its beak, the aim was to drop the object into one of these holes. It occurred to me that an emergency aerial refuelling could be a great help. It could be a bag of blood for an emergency transfusion, or containers of water to extinguish forest fires, or to slip supplies to a victim trapped under a collapsed house until a rescue team can get him out.

Chuca is now able to fly all the way up the cliff from the docks to Adamas Square. This difficult and demanding exercise tests Chuca's endurance for ascending flights. But I admit he's having a bit of trouble.

-Day thirty

Chuca seems to have a dazzling burst of energy! Now, before taking off and flying away, Chuca scratches the ground with her talons and strikes a powerful pose. Following this movement, his beak and talons seem to glow slightly, and his wing feathers also seem more dynamic, as if each feather had been put to work. I'm not afraid to say that he uses the move Hone Claws to strengthen himself. After using this technique, he is able to leap into the air and gain remarkable momentum, enabling him to gain altitude very quickly. At times, I can see him clinging to the cliff as a springboard and projecting himself upwards.

Usually he only reached the Adamas square, but this time he reached the Dragon Roost, a landmark establishment in Adamas.

Third month:

-Day one

Finally, Chuca has evolved! At the end of the tenth ascent of the Adamas cliff, Chuca was enveloped in an intense light while high in the sky. The light was so powerful, it was like a second sun. At the end of the transformation, Chuca the Corvisquire became a magnificent Corvaillus. He became so big and imposing. When the evolution was complete, he let out a deafening croak that sounded more like a roar. As I write these lines, I'm still on the beach, watching Chuca spread his immense wings and test his new form. It seems he's coming back to me and - [ooc: there's a big clumsy pen stroke and the page looks creased]

-Day ---

I hesitated for a few days to find the right words to write the rest of the report and what happened at the beginning of the month. As Chuca completed his evolution and became a majestic Corviknight, he came back to me and most likely wanted to try out his new power, but instead of attacking my Noivern first, I was the target of his assault. At first, I thought Chuca had too much energy and was losing it, but he just wanted to take me on. My Noivern arrived in time to deflect Chuca's trajectory, allowing me to avoid the stomp, and a fight ensued between Chuca and Zephyr. Although Zephyr was disadvantaged by type affinities, he was much more agile and lively than Chuca, who was much heavier, but his attacks were devastating. After a dialogue consisting of Brave Bird and Hurricane, all was calm again on the Adamas beach, although I was still shocked that Chuca had decided to attack me. The look on his face was terrifying, and he showed himself to be very strong in the face of Zephyr. I'm not likely to forget this affront any time soon, it was so sudden and I'm still his "parent", it's hard to take. But it also made me realize that we must never believe ourselves stronger than nature, we can't control everything and if, in spite of everything we're convinced of that, the fall will be very painful.

So, no, Chuca isn't so mad as to destroy everything he sees, and he's aware of what he's doing, but I'd say he wanted to put me to the test. No doubt because he wants a strong trainer, both in terms of arms and mind, but for the moment, I'm still a little afraid of him.

-Day 20?

After a break of several days, I've recovered from my emotions, although I won't be using the Flying Cab for the time being. I spent most of my time with Chuca getting to know him better, away from training. One thing's for sure: he's a fighter. As for training, there's no longer any question of using my leather glove, as the Corviknight must weigh ten times as much as a Corvisquire. I think that simply training it against my other Pokémon will suffice for the time being.

Fourth month:

-Day eighteen

To sum up this month of no updates, Chuca and my Pokémon (Noivern, Gyarados) have been training each other. More than a simple exchange of blows, these duels were very interesting to watch and very instructive. Even my Pokémon were able to strengthen themselves while taking part in Chuca's training.

Zephyr, my Noivern, worked with Chuca to make him sharper and faster, deftly dodging Zephyr's Hurricane and Dragon Pulse. If dodging wasn't possible, Chuca could take Zephyr's ranged attacks without flinching. At the same time, Chuca trained himself to adjust the energy output of his Brave Birds to reduce their recoil. He also learned to Taunt his opponents to provoke them and reduce their free-will.

Inkayar, my Gyarados, used the marine environment to train with Chuca. When there aren't many places to land, Chuca has had to find ways of saving his energy, using the wind blown by Hydro Pumps for example. His stamina has greatly improved. In addition, Chuca uses Bulk Up to strengthen himself, increasing his physical strength and his ability to withstand blows.

But best of all, Chuca seems to be having the time of his life! He seems to be really enjoying himself, and this training session is a great way for him to let off steam. I wish I'd realized that sooner.

-Day twenty-three

I think Chuca is ready for the Ranger missions. Our training has made us stronger and more solid. I'm pleased with Chuca's progress and, despite the incident, I have nothing but good memories of him. Looking back, I understand Chuca much, much better. He even lets me travel on his back and, to make fun of me, he likes to catch me with his beak. I'm a bit fed up, I'm not a Weedle.

I also took inspiration from the strategy trainers and modified Chuca's skills:

- Defog
- Body Press
- Brave Bird
- Taunt

In addition to transporting equipment and providing air support, it makes sense that Chuca can also make an enemy vulnerable to other Rangers. I think this long report is coming to an end. My mission is accomplished and I don't think there's anything useful to add.
