❄extended family: The entirety of the remaining Cult of Darkrai, the members of Team Noir
❄pet(s): Theo Ross, Bradley Zimmerman, the subjects of Team Noir experiments

❄history: On Autumn 18th, 992, on a bright and sunny morning, Yvonne was born into the Sevrein family, a long line of importing and exporting traders since before the Sinnoh region was settled. The family manor was situated on a cliffside overlooking Canalave City, luxurious and beautiful, with a balcony wrapped around it to get an aerial view of the ocean. As an only child, Yvonne’s parents and the staff of nannies, teachers, and workers coddled after her night and day, providing her everything she could have wanted. They would often refer to her as the princess in her private castle by the sea.

tt was only a couple of years after that Archeron was contacted by one Zachariah Penn, a worshipper and self-proclaimed priest of Darkrai distraught by the loss of his wife and looking to create a cult in the name of his lord Darkrai. Zachariah needed money to start this cult up and run it, and he offered Darkrai’s blessings and power in exchange for Archeron’s loyalty and assistance. This would mean participating as a member and involving his entire family, and being a religious man, Archeron obliged and accepted the offer. The meetings began immediately, atop Mt. Coronet and held within the Spear Pillar. The entire Sevrein household attended, all robed and fit for Darkrai’s worship, save the young girl they brought along. They believed religion should start early, and while she was not yet old enough to adorn the robes, Yvonne was exposed to and participated in the goings on of the meetings, including rituals and callings involving a variety of manner of sacrifice. Yvonne’s attendance, while sometimes distracting, was a welcomed joy to the cultists. She was a sweet girl, performing the small tasks involved in the rituals as asked then looking up at the people surrounding her with a wide smile. She became, collectively, the daughter of the cult or, as she would often be referred to, the princess atop the snowy mountain.

When Yvonne was five years old, Zachariah presented the cult with information he believed he had received from Darkrai. The backup copy of life, the Toro region, had recently been discovered by the Haunter Bay Company and was beginning to be inhabited by immigrants. Knowing fully well of the inevitable drain of Toro's resources, Zachariah stressed to the others it was Darkrai's plan for them to run everyone out of Toro and protect it. The solution lie in a man named Griff Watanabe and PixCo, the company he owned that manufactured and sold pixel balls and other pixelmon technology. The two struck a deal after Zachariah explained Darkrai's wishes, and upon agreement, the cultists formed with Mr. Watanabe in order to create Team Noir, an organization whose sole purpose was to follow Darkrai’s orders. Shortly after Team Noir’s creation, Mr. Watanabe and the cultists made plans to move PixCo to Toro and thus also Team Noir. Construction of the PixCo building began in 998, and it was was ready for business when the HBC opened the Toro borders in the year 1000. Once established with its own bases of operations, Team Noir took off at the speed of light. It advertised in secrecy and got many members, including top scientists and researchers, formulating plans for how they can take back Toro. Over the course of the next four years, the leadership of Team Noir exchanged hands from Mr. W, Mr. Watanabe, to Shadow X, or Xander Blaze, who wrought his own havoc on Toro while the cultists remained underground, working with the rest of Team Noir. The scientists began their experiments during this time taking in only pixelmon at first, Rattata and Pidgey, Charmander and Nidoran. The cultists oversaw the work that was done, and young Yvonne, around the age of ten, walked the halls with them, hand held by her father, mother, or other cult Brother or Sister. She looked on the experiments with curiosity and confusion, but her only explanation was for the good of Darkrai. Occasionally, her hand would reach out to pet a deranged Rattata, twitchy and wheezing from experimenting, and it would lash out at her, eliciting a yelp and a few tears before she was quickly scooped up by one of the many people garbed in the black suits and red ties. Over the person’s shoulder, she would see the pixelmon jabbed with a needle and silenced as a consequence of cruelty towards her, and Yvonne would simply lie her head down on the shoulder of her protector and be comforted by their hold, for she became the daughter of Team Noir, the bright princess amongst the underground.

At twelve years old, when Yvonne was the most impressionable and susceptible to what was around her, Team Noir moved onto the next stage of its experimenting. They researched and learned what they could from pixelmon, and now it was time to begin human experimentation. Led by Huy Nyguen, the appointed top scientist of Team Noir, children started disappearing from their homes sporadically all over the world, kidnapped with no hope of knowing if they were going to be seen again. These children were all filed into an underground facility, each locked into their own metal cell along the sides of the room. In the middle of this facility was a large gladiator-esque stadium and entrances from all sides that led from the metal cells, and above the stadium on each side there were observation decks that allowed people to sit and watch. Children were shuffled in from their cells to the stadium, forced to fight over food and against one another - a fight to the death to weed out weaker subjects and to take only the strongest back to the labs. From the observation decks, the scientists watched and took notes, eyeing those that came out on top. The cultists joined them, watching silently with hands held tightly in front of them. And there was also Yvonne. Her face was stuck to the glass, watching the children all her age or younger fighting amongst each other. At one point, she described them as acting like wild animals to the scientist standing beside her to which he responded the reason was because they were and went on as if everything was normal. The girl didn’t know what to think and looked back at her father, his face also normal, giving her a nod and a smile. Yvonne simply turned back and watched as they killed each other, standing up in the observatory in safety and surrounded by people who loved her. Research started, and experiments began to be performed on those who came out of the stadium alive. Screams bounced off the walls of the metal hallways at all hours of the day. Children were shuffled to and from their cells to the labs, and the experiments went on interrupted. One day, out of childish curiosity, Yvonne took a longer route than she normally did to get back to the master quarters. She found herself in a long hallway and looked down it to see a boy her age standing at the end, an obvious victim of the experiments as half his head was shaved off, staples holding bits of his scalp together. His limbs trembled, he wore rags, his eyes were wide but sunk into his skull. His paled eyes caught sight of Yvonne, flicking from her porcelain skin to her white gown to the white ribbon wrapped in her hair. The boy fell to his knees and crawled forwards, wrapping his arms around her legs upon reaching her. Concerned, Yvonne knelt down, and he only embraced her further, muttering in spits and sputters, “A-a-a-angel… h-h-help… me… T-take… this p-p-p-pa-ain…” His words were cut off by sobs, his voice choking up with tears. He could only cling to her and cry. Yvonne could not make out what was happening. She did the only thing she knew how and gently wrapped her arms around him, a hand gently placed on his hair and one rubbing his back. She softly shushed him and whispered comforting things into his ear, and for one lone moment, this child smiled, a crooked, pained grin, his sobbing ceasing as he looked up into her eyes where she gave him a soft, reassuring smile. “M-m-my… a-a-a-ang-g-gel…” the boy uttered before the sound of quick taps of feet against the concrete was heard and he was ripped from Yvonne’s arms, dragged down the hall with his feet dangling. His cries were heard for only a second before the heavy metal door closed, and Yvonne was quickly scooped up again by her father, cradling her and kissing her head. Her eyes stayed locked on the door as she was carried away, clinging onto her father, until it was out of sight. She looked up at him, and he only smiled at her, nodding his head in a way that stated all was well. After this occurrence, Yvonne made it a point to wander back into the same hallway again and similar ones, letting the children find her, providing comfort for them, then watching as they are pulled away. It brought her strange satisfaction from seeing someone so broken, an animal, reacting to her so vividly in the midst of their pain as if she was just a switch that brightened their world if only for a few minutes. It made her curious, yearning for that attention and desire to be needed, and, coupled with the idea that these were not children, of her age and form but not her equal, Yvonne developed a view of them as if they were no longer human. They were objects, mere puppies that, once let out of their cages, desired nothing more than to be petted and held and loved. After getting caught time and time again, Doctor Nyguen had finally allowed her to make these rounds under observation as an inverse correlation seemed to arise between her comforts and the subjects attempts at taking their own lives. The children came and went, brought into the lab, experimented on, and shoved back in their rooms - and then visited by Yvonne, dressed in bright colors, long, silky black hair cascading down around her, a warm and caring smile on her face as she held them, comforted them, provided them calmness.. Two minutes passed, and she would be gone, off to the next room, and they were back to the lab for experiments. Yvonne was no longer simply a mere princess under the earth; she was an angel, an angel that gave off a bright and shining light which she could cast upon the weak and weary and change their world.

Yvonne, months later, ran into only one problem subject, one child that resented her very existence. His name was Bradley. He was Yvonne’s same age and had been within the facilities for two years having survived the fighting and experiments thus far. He seemed to be the strongest out of the groups of children brought in, watched carefully by the scientists and having more experiments done on him. From the observation deck, Yvonne could feel eyes on her, eyes that held nothing but hatred and contempt. It was Bradley, staring up at her in between the assault, picking apart everything about her from her manicured and pampered skin to her silk gowns and the gazes of love and admiration that were cast upon her. Stepping into Bradley’s cell, attempting to console him as she did all the others, would consistently elicit his thrashing against the chains that bound him to the wall, lashing out, profanities and slurs pouring from his mouth like a rabid Poochyena. Yvonne found herself immeasurably upset by his response. As the first person to ever deny her of anything, and someone who was not even a person to her, a mere animal, an object, it was anger and not sadness or pity that overtook her. After time and time again of his rebelling and fighting against her wishes, Yvonne finally raised her hand and with one quick swipe struck him across the cheek. The force was great enough to knock his head to the side, and the boy sat there in shock, his eyes wide, as if he never thought the porcelain doll that accompanied the men in the white robes was capable of free actions. She stood there, her chest quickly rising and falling, her hand still locked in place though her fingers trembled. It was silent save for the faint but consistent echo of screaming through the metal walls. A moment passed then Yvonne let her body relax and become soft before she took a few slow steps towards him. There was no reaction. She sat down on the stool beside of his bed, an inch or two taller than where he sat. No reaction once again. She laid a hand on his shoulder. Nothing. Then she laid a hand gently on his. There was nothing. Then his body jerked, and suddenly she was knocked to the floor, hateful, savage snapping coming from Bradley’s throat as he pulled against the bindings that held him from ripping the girl to shreds beneath his fingertips. The room was flooded immediately by the guards and cultists overseeing the interaction. Fists flew at Bradley, slamming him back into the wall above his bed, then he was stuck with several needles as Haunter flooded the room and ate at his mind after he slipped into unconsciousness. Yvonne was helped up and brushed off, all eyes on her to make sure she was okay as she was held and comforted. She was shaken up but was quick to reassure her guardians that, despite their wishes, she was fine and wanted to stay in the room with Bradley. She sat down on the cot beside of where the boy laid, his face twitching and eyes racing behind his lids as the Haunter left nothing behind but nightmares in their feast of dreams. Yvonne wrapped her arms tightly around him, pulling him up and brushing her fingers through his matted and tangled dark hair. The guards in the room seemed apprehensive but stepped out as per her command. The girl stayed there with Bradley held tightly in her embrace, petting him, comforting him. After what seemed like hours, he finally started to stir. His eyes flicked open, scouring the room quickly before looking up and locking onto Yvonne’s face, bright and smooth with rosy shades of pink in her cheeks, her amber eyes looking into his with nothing but kindness and love and her silhouette haloed by the incandescent lights above them. Instead of immediately lashing out, Bradley’s eyes welled up with tears, his breath becoming raspy and sputtering as he turned to bury his face into her stomach and hold onto her tightly. He shouted incoherently, desperately, fear choking up his throat. Yvonne felt his fingers grab onto her back and dig in his state of fear and shock, and she just held him. Her eyes glance over as the Haunter slip up from his head and phase off into the walls. She nodded, resting her head on his, and whispering into his ear, her voice soft and melodic, “Bradley… Bradley, all is well… I… I took the nightmares away… You are safe now… safe… with me…” The boy does not verbally respond, his lip quivering, sobs still choking up his throat. He only seemed to hold her tighter, however, and this was all Yvonne needed, a soft smile spreading on her lips. She rubbed his tattered and aching back gently, then she lifted up the Poochyena tag chained to his neck, reading off the name “Bradley Zimmerman.” She giggled very softly as she looked it over. “Bradley Zimmerman…” she mused quietly. “Bradley… my Bradley…” She giggled again and gently pulled his face up to look at her, his eyes wide, bloodshot, fear spread over his face. “My Bradley… Doesn’t that sound nice? You’re mine… all mine… Everyone else can all you…” She glanced at his Poochyena tag briefly again. “Z… for Zimmerman… Reaper…” She seemed pleased with herself. “A deathbringer… like what mother and father talked about with the Brothers and Sisters of Darkrai. You’re a deathbringer… You killed all of those other subjects… So you can be… Reaper Z.” Bradley could not respond, he only held her tightly in his sobbing, and she just petted him and whispered reassurances of her presence and protection. This act was repeated, over and over again, over the course of the next couple of years. Yvonne would walk into the room, Bradley would fight against his bindings in his attempts to attack her, she would bring a source of punishment - a bat, a leather cord, a knife, sometimes simply her hands - and use it until he was submissive, she would stick him with a needle, he would slip into unconsciousness, she would call in the Haunter, his thoughts would be eaten clean save the nightmares, she would wait on him to wake up, he would eventually awaken and cling to her desperately as if his life was slipping away, and she would hold him like a kicked puppy as she whispered and repeated that she herself took all of his fears and pain away. As the experiments and torture took their toll and Bradley as he knew himself to be faded away, he became only more desperate for Yvonne, needing her attention, needing to see her, needing to please her. His rebelling and fighting slowly dwindled over time as well while the punishments remained consistent, but Yvonne was always there for him, the Reaper’s angel bringing tainted light into his otherwise dark world of pain and agony.

At seventeen years old, when news got back to Team Noir that Shadow X, the leader of Team Noir at the time, had outed himself to the public and all the officers and the cultists were distraught with worry and anger, Yvonne just sat back, a satisfied smile on her face. The admins, accompanied by a few officers, rushed into the main hall of the base where there was a large decorative seat lead up to by a red carpet, and they saw her there, wearing a long, silky white dress that spilled onto the floor around the chair, dark red lips that smiled over at them with a brief glance before she looked down at her lap where Reaper Z, as the Toro people would soon know him, sprawled out. He sat in the floor, leaning up against her crossed legs, his arms wrapped tightly around her waist, his gem glowing brightly over his heart, and soft murmurs and whimpers shook from him as he nuzzled his head onto her. Yvonne petted his hair softly and chuckled, bringing her eyes up to the men dressed in black. “Word is… you’re in need of a leader of Team Noir… an administrator… a weapon.” She lifts up the boy’s head in her lap and lowers her face to his as she whispers sweetly, “My Bradley… show them…” Without skipping a beat, Reaper was up off the ground and in the air, his jagged black claws dripping dark shadow energy. His gem glowed brightly, reflected by his eyes, and he raised up his arms to form a Shadow Ball in the air above him, forming it to be bigger than his arm span. Yvonne raised her hand to pause him, chuckling softly, before looking at the officers. “Allow me to elect Reaper Z… and Madame Y.”

And thus, the year 1008 marked the beginning of Reaper Z’s havoc on Toro, led by Madame Y in shadows of the background, and subsequently for eleven years this continued, from the destruction of the Solrock Clock Tower to attacks on the Toro capital and the capture of the Porygon Tower. In 1019, the defeat and turn of Reaper Z quelled only one great enemy, and only greatly angered another. The following year Yvonne spent preparing. She became fluent in her mother’s long-forgotten language, Kalon. She dyed her hair and had grunts doing cultural research for what she would need to know. They discovered a woman who lived in Kalos, a traveling musician, her family once the victims of jealous and malicious entertainers who sent assassins to kill them, a woman by the name of Evonne La Coeur. Officers were sent out to silence her, and Yvonne had her new identity.

Once in Toro, Yvonne had one mission: Revenge. Revenge on the country that took her toy from her, and the people most responsible. This led her not only to investigate everyone she met, worm her way into their trust, and determine how best to hurt them, for they had hurt her. She befriended Thomas and Autumn Bryant, quickly learning of the former’s grudge with Reaper Z, and his part in taking him from her. She even started to teach their daughter Zoe music, knowing that she, too, would need to be hurt for her role in this, after discovering that it was her mercy that originally set in motion the plan to save Bradley Zimmerman from the monster Yvonne had made him into. Yvonne made many more friends and acquaintances- all for her own nefarious purposes.

Fatefully, she met the all-too-trusting Theo Ross, at the time happily engaged to Zoey Legrand, with a baby on the way. This was not an obstacle to her, or so she thought- but he rebuffed her affections, wanting only a friend. Despite this, she exploited her apparent innocence, his trust, and his pride in his accomplishments to learn far more than any Team Noir leader should ever have been able to discover, about him, about Toro, about everything. In time, she won his trust to the point where she could offer, and he could accept, her assistance in helping him recharge his usual stores of electricity. Biologically dependent upon this, but unable to produce it, electricity was like food to Theo- a need. In most ways, an ordinary one. Little did he know, however, that while recharging, he was not asleep, as he thought, but in a trance-like state, capable of being influenced easily. She discovered this quickly from a recharging Theo, acting on instinct and without intelligence. It was in this state that she not only extracted more information from him, but began to seduce him and take control of his life.

Day by day, Theo was drawn further and further into her web of lies and manipulation. While externally, and to his knowledge, happier than he’d ever been, with a loving fiancee and a happy family, a wonderful job and a peaceful life, Theo was internally falling apart. Every few days, she’d come to help him recharge, and keep up the facade that he merely slept during these periods, while in fact, she took control of his body and mind. In these moments, he was entirely hers. But Yvonne was greedy. She chafed at every mention of his fiancee, at the fact that he was only secretly hers. She could not settle for a fragment of the now-broken heart, soul, and mind of Theo.

It was only a matter of time before her control expanded. The night of the wedding of Hertz-Klaas Mielke, a wedding they were both part of, presented a perfect opportunity. Normally always sober, as per the commands of his religion, Theo unfortunately had far, far too much to drink that evening, entirely by accident. When the naive and oblivious Theo discovered this, Yvonne comforted him in his horror at violating his beliefs and embarrassing himself generally, and took him back to her home to clean him up, for he did not wish for his family to see him this way.

Inebriated and subconsciously already primed by her control in his trance-like states and the suggestions she always implanted, he lacked sufficient self-control, and slept with her. That night, unknown to both of them, they had created a child.

When this child was born, Theo couldn’t abandon him, and told Zoey the truth. Hurt, she left, taking their son with him. Theo, shattered by this… Sought comfort in the arms of Yvonne, and thus their mistake evolved into a relationship. Yvonne discovered more about the entranced Theo, and how she could use his controlled state to her advantage. Once she found a means to keep him intelligent and aware, but under her control, and with no memory of events when he returned to normal, she had all she needed. Her childish revenge plot morphed into something more sinister still, for the now intelligent but enslaved alter ego of Theo Ross concocted a plan to make his beloved Yvonne Queen of not only his heart, but of the world. He was to kidnap, using Team Noir technology and his own ‘stolen’ top-secret weapon, the Mark 10 Armored Defense Unit and its accompanying weapons system, the legendary birds, use them to capture Lugia, and then use the energy of all four to rend a hole between worlds, dragging out Dialga, Master of Time, to reshape the universe as she saw fit. A universe with no death, no pain, no hardship- only love…

...For Yvonne. Absolute obedience, compelled by force and by fundamental tenet. None would challenge her, and he would be at her side, not as a king, not as an equal, but merely as her Black Knight. As her pet. As her tool.

Unaware of this, the normal Theo continued his life, putting it back together, now with Yvonne in it. They soon married, despite the turmoil he himself was unknowingly wreaking upon Toro in his forays as the Black Knight, and formed a happy family. Theo’s children came to love her as their mother. As the suggestions planted in his subconscious grew, and the other pieces of his broken mind fought for control, he became more and more in thrall with her, growing unhealthily obsessed. Theo abandoned his religion during their honeymoon, and came to worship his own wife as a goddess. As the only Goddess.

With Bradley having returned, Yvonne could not resist timing the final stage of their plan in the most showy manner possible. She broke through the last barriers in her husband’s mind, through his last bit of free will, and now had the perfect slave. She planned to reveal everything at the masquerade ball in Bradley’s honor.

Soon, she would rule the whole world...
PERSONALITY ██ ███ ██
    • ❄strengths: Yvonne’s personality strengths come few and far between. Since she is always adapting her lies to meet others’ expectations, she can and likely will be what is needed for one to find her acceptable. This goes hand-in-hand with lying to people of course. Underneath the layers of deceit, Yvonne is a strong-willed individual and can, and certainly does, care about things, albeit in her own manner. Lying to everyone in personality does have one benefit relevant to this in that she understands kindness. She knows how to be nice. It is just a matter of breaking past the selfishness for that to show through.
❄flaws: Yvonne, to put it simply, is a mess of issues. What speaks volumes is her ego. She thinks very highly of herself, having been called a princess, an angel, a queen, and most recently a goddess her entire life. With the small, bare exception of her son, Calixte, Yvonne thinks of herself as the most important person in the world, looking down upon others from her pedestal in the sky. To a certain degree, a Cleopatra complex is at play with her personality, as it has affected many other powerful women in history. Along with this, and due to her bit of twisted childhood, Yvonne objectifies everything and everyone. She will not see you as a friend so much as a tool for her use, a pawn, or simply just another peasant. Her friendship is unstable and wrong, her love is terribly misconstrued, and this is all innate to her. In her eyes, it is normal for people to naturally objectify everyone and to use them for their own purposes. Yvonne is manipulative, conniving, a fantastic liar, and she will not hesitate to do something if it will get her what she wants. However, for how much arrogance she holds, and for how big her ego has become, she always relies on others to do her bidding. She will gain control of a person or pixelmon, through manipulation or otherwise, and stand by in the shadows simply giving them orders. And she loves having control over others. What she hates is when that control is turned around and she is put in a position of helplessness, where she will fight back relentlessly until freed.

❄ambitions: Yvonne is a simple woman with simple pleasures. She wants the whole world for herself, for everyone to worship her, to love her, to bow to her. It would be her greatest pleasure to have everyone in Toro on their knees in front of her in worship.
